In the late afternoon and early evening the beach lovers gradually start to pick up their stuff and head back to their hotels in order to shower and get ready for their evening meal. Some like to take their time and enjoy the changing colours of the sky as the sun sets, which can be a fantastic sight worth sticking around for.

As night falls the beach slowly darkens and street vendors start to set up stall along the promenade. They sell a variety of goods from jewellry to artwork and there are ladies offering to do hair braids or temporary tattoos for the kids.

In the high season you can also see sand artists creating amazing sand sculptures at the edge of the beach, close to the promenade, which they decorate with small candles that light up their work beautifully. You can leave a small tip if you choose to.

The general feeling in the evening around the beach area of Santa Ponsa is laid back and chilled out and you can dine at one of the many surrounding seafront restaurants or just sit back and enjoy a nice cool drink.
